Liability Disclaimer
By participating in classes, private sessions, or events hosted by La Coterie Pilates & Fitness LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Client”) agree to the following:
Health Acknowledgment
You affirm that you are in good physical condition and have consulted with a physician if needed. You understand that Pilates and fitness training involve inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, falls, or cardiovascular events.
Assumption of Risk
You voluntarily assume all risks—known and unknown—associated with your participation in any activities offered by La Coterie Pilates & Fitness LLC, whether in-person or virtual.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you release and hold harmless La Coterie Pilates & Fitness LLC, its owners, instructors, and affiliates from any claims related to personal injury, illness, property loss, or damages—including those resulting from ordinary negligence.
BY PARTICIPATING, YOU WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE FOR NEGLIGENCE.
Emergency Medical Consent
In the event of an accident or injury, you authorize our staff to seek emergency medical treatment on your behalf. You assume full responsibility for any resulting expenses.
Minors
If a participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign a separate acknowledgment. Under California law, liability waivers for minors do not waive claims of negligence.

Acceptance of Terms
By booking a class, purchasing a membership, or using our website or services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Services Offered
We provide Pilates and fitness classes (in-person and online), private training, workshops, and wellness content. Services are subject to change at any time.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
All sessions must be booked in advance.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before class will incur a $15 late cancelation fee.
No-shows will incur a $20 fee or loss of session.
Fees are automatically charged to your account and are non-refundable.
Payment & Refund Policy
Payment is due at time of booking.
All purchases are final. No refunds will be issued for unused classes or memberships.
Credits or extensions may be offered in cases of illness or studio disruption, at our discretion.
Membership Auto-Renewals
By enrolling in a membership, you agree to recurring billing. Renewal details will be clearly presented at checkout.
You may cancel anytime by logging into your account or emailing us at hello@lacoterie.co or texting us at 415 936 9836. Cancellation requests must be submitted 48 hours before your next billing cycle to avoid charges.
Code of Conduct
We expect respectful, safe behavior in all sessions. Inappropriate conduct may result in removal from class and/or termination of services without refund.
Intellectual Property
All content and branding—class formats, written materials, videos, and designs—belong to La Coterie Pilates & Fitness LLC and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
Studio Closures
In the event of a studio closure (e.g., due to health orders or emergency), affected sessions will be credited or rescheduled. Refunds may be offered at our discretion depending on the situation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by California law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in our services.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of Marin County, California.
